Exhibition: What Soho Wore

At the Photographers' Gallery, Nina Manandhar's What Soho Wore project invites people to share their photographs and memories of the area

In 2013, writer and photographer Nina Manandhar founded the website What We Wore, which invites readers to send in their photographs of grassroots fashion and the stories behind them.

This summer, Manandhar's work made the transition to The Photographers' Gallery's Media Wall. The commission What Soho Wore takes the principles of the website and zooms in on one of London's most vibrant areas for fashion and subculture. Manandhar has roamed the streets, seeking out residents and visitors to provide their images and tales.

On 2 and 9 September, contributors are able to bring their photographs to the archive. And 18 September, the installation will climax with a social event in which all participants are able to discuss their experiences.
