A new series from Hoxton Mini Press includes photoessays on cities from around the world.
The first from Tales from the City is Peter Zelewski’s People of London. Zelewski spent five years photographing strangers throughout the city.
His collection of 100 portraits compiles individuals such as Warren a Big Issue seller, Johnnie the hairdresser, Daria a special needs teacher’s assistant, and Hilol a law student. With each picture accompanied by a quote, the book celebrates London’s great diversity.
Hoxton Mini Press is a publisher in east London that makes collectable art books. While many of its titles are focused on stories around its local area, it has started to publish works by artists from around the world, such as its Mini Mini series of books launched this spring.
