The American outdoor clothing brand Patagonia is renowned for its eco-friendly approach. Nowhere is this more clear than in its Worn Wear program, which was launched in the US in 2013.
The scheme encourages customers to repair their broken garments rather than buy more, an attitude that helps to lower CO2 emissions, waste output and water usage.
To promote this concept in Europe, Patagonia has launched the Worn Wear Tour. The tour will include more than 50 stops in five European countries.
Each stop will offer free repairs on busted zippers, rips, tears, buttons, pulls and more – as well as teaching customers how to fix their own gear.
Patagonia was founded in Ventura, California in 1973 by Yvon Chouinard. The brand’s mission is to “build the best product, cause no unnecessary harm and use business to inspire and implement solutions to the environmental crisis.”
