Moogfest 2017 announces Flying Lotus, 808 State and Derrick May

Joining Peanut Butter Wolf, Animal Collective and Simian Mobile Disco at the conference-cum-party

Synth brand Moog has announced a slew of names for the nighttime element of Moogfest, the synth brand's annual festival in Durham, North Carolina. Brainfeeder boss Flying Lotus will headline, joined by the likes of Animal Collective, Suzanne Ciani, Jessy Lanza, Derrick May, 808 State and Function.

More than 40 of the artists on the lineup will also participate in the Daytime 'Future Thought' strand of the festival, giving lectures, masterclasses and talks. Derrick May will run a techno workshop, Gotye will present a tribute to one of Robert Moog's first collaborators Jean-Jacques Perrey, who died last year, and Dave Harrington will premiere a live, electronic score to the 1920s sci-fi film Haxan.
