The Berlin techno producer Florian Kupfer has released his second piece of music through Ninja Tune’s Technicolour imprint. Comprising of four tracks, the Unfinished EP flits between Kupfer’s typical palette of R&B-infused house and industrial sounds.
As a youth, Florian Kupfer was a soprano for a Gregorian choir. He was introduced to 1990s techno by his mother. Today, he produces his own brand of lo-fi techno, perhaps incorporating both these influences. He released his debut album Lifetrax through Ron Morelli’s label L.I.E.S., and has other releases on W.T. Records, Rush Hour and L.I.E.S. offshoot Russian Torrent.
