All Anton Sandqvist wanted was a stylish and affordable laptop bag. With nothing on the market and a basic ability to sew, he designed and made his ideal carrier. As interest around his bag grew, in 2004, the Stockholm native decided to begin producing and selling them under his own name.
For its first 13 years, Sandqvist stuck close to that original design, but the brand has now launched a redesigned range that puts aesthetics at its heart. The Keos collection is built from the brand’s water-resistant nylon, which means it can still withstand the worst of the great outdoors, but Sandqvist has stripped out any ancillary details to create four minimalist new styles – including a shoulder bag, weekender and two backpacks – that work just as well for urban adventurers.
But this sleek new form isn’t at the expense of function; the Keos range includes separate sleeves for laptops, removable pockets that turn into shoulder bags, hidden zippers and carabiner closures. Inspired by the tones of the Nordic landscape, the range comes in willow green or black.
