Agnès Troublé founded her brand in Paris in 1975, opening her first shop on Rue du Jour. Since then, Agnès B has expanded internationally, although the bunk of its production remains in France.
She has designed clothes for the likes of John Travolta and Uma Thurman (for Quentin Tarantino’s Pulp Fiction), Patti Smith, David Lynch, Yoko Ono and David Bowie. To celebrate this 40-year legacy, she has published a clothbound book titled Styliste. It includes design sketches, press clippings and photographs by herself, as well as photographers like Peter Lindberg, Jean Baptiste Mondino and Bruce Weber.
