On the 10 June, American Photographer Ralph Gibson will present a series of photographs for the opening of his Vertical Horizon exhibition at Galerie Thierry Bigaignon, Paris.
Gibson will be presenting 12 colour prints, something exceptional for a photographer known for his monochrome style.
Gibson is a photographer with a strong expression, and has a unique ability for capturing detail. Among many awards and two doctorates, Gibson was announced Photographer of the Year at Palm Springs Fine Art Fair in February. Gibson received a fellowship in John Simon Guggenheim Memorial Foundation in 1985, which is the fourth one on his resumé.
The exhibition is called “Vertical Horizon”, a combination of boundaries and opposition.
Speaking before the launch of the exhibition, the gallery’s owner Thierry Bigaignon said: “I believe these are images that are going to take viewers by surprise.”
