An exhibition in east London’s OllyStudio Gallery draws together emerging and established artists resident in the area. Over its month-long run, Convergence’s initial quartet of artists have been joined by others, creating an image of the district's creativity.
The featured practitioners include Wildcat Will aka William Blanchard (featured in issue 15), whose collages douse pop culture and childhood memories in surrealism; Benjamin Murphy, who uses electrical tape to create ethereal, literature-inspired artworks; French street artist Zabou; and darkly humorous typographer Skeleton Cardboard.
Founded by Olly Walker, OllyStudio is a London-based creative agency and gallery. Its work includes the design of four books, the curation of exhibitions in London and Berlin and collaborations with Alexander McQueen, Levi’s and Converse. The Ollystudio gallery opened early this year in the former office of Jocks&Nerds.
