Volcov: From the Archive

Chez Damier, Bembe Segue and Shuya Okino are included in Volcov's latest compilation, out through BBE

Enrico Crivellaro AKA Volcov is an Italian DJ, producer and label owner, respected for his knowledge of soul, funk, disco and deep house.

His latest compilation From the Archive shows off his talents. It features a selection of obscure funk and disco, with three edits by Volcov himself. The album includes Chez Damier’s balmy remix of the Urban Crew’s ‘Go’, Bembe Segue’s emotional ‘Sun On My Back’ and Shuya Okino’s lushly baroque ‘Still in Love’. Sleeve notes have been provided by radio broadcaster Patrick Forge.

Inspired by Carl Craig and Kirk Degiorgio, Crivellaro founded his Archive label in 1998. He began working with the likes of Dego and Domu, and releasing records by Theo Parrish, Nubian Mindz, Nu Era and Opaque.

Crivellaro later opened his Neroli imprint and began remixing for artists such as Azymuth, Frankie Valentine and Taylor McFerrin.
